Synopsis

Ten-year-old Lily is branded a liar by her mother, obsessed with a 'truth bracelet'. Whenever Lily is honest—hungry, hurting, or innocent—the bracelet glows red and delivers brutal shocks. Twin sister Ruby wears a fake green bracelet, framing Lily for every mishap. Blinded by pseudoscience and favoritism, the mother locks Lily away. On New Year's Eve, Lily’s appendix ruptures. She begs for help as the bracelet flashes red, but the mother dismisses it as a tantrum, locks her away, and leaves for fireworks. Lily dies in agony, leaving her truth in a diary. Days later, the mother finds the body and the secret: the bracelet detects fear and pain, not lies. Ruby’s is a toy. Wearing the blood-stained bracelet, the mother is tortured by shocks as red light reveals her lies. Driven mad by guilt, she attacks Ruby, who ends up crippled by a truck. The father dies in despair. The mother dies clutching Lily’s diary, while Lily’s spirit escapes the nightmare, flying toward peace—free from pain and lies.
