Synopsis

10-year-old Lily wears a shock bracelet because her mother trusts a lie detector. Truth triggers red sparks and painful shocks. Twin sister Ruby wears a fake green bracelet, framing Lily for mischief. Mother dotes on Ruby, ignores Lily's agony. On New Year's Eve, Lily suffers a burst appendix; mother calls it a tantrum, locks her in, goes to watch fireworks. Lily dies writing her final truth in a diary. Three days later, mother finds the truth: red bracelet reacts to fear/pain, green bracelet is a toy. Mother puts on the bloody bracelet, suffers shocks, loses her sanity, destroys family. Lily's soul finds freedom from the nightmare.
