Synopsis

Ten-year-old Lily is branded a liar by her mother due to a 'lie-detector' bracelet. Truths trigger painful red shocks for Lily, while her sister Ruby’s bracelet stays green despite her malice. On New Year's Eve, Lily dies from appendicitis, dismissed as a liar. Mother discovers the bracelet measures fear, not lies. Consumed by guilt, the mother descends into madness, Ruby is crippled, and the family collapses, leaving the mother to die holding Lily’s diary.
