Synopsis

Ten-year-old Lily is branded a liar by her mother, who trusts a lie-detector bracelet. Truth triggers red flashes and brutal electric shocks. Twin sister Ruby wears a fake that glows green, even when framing Lily. Mother imprisons Lily, ignores her agony, and idolizes Ruby. On New Year's Eve, Lily suffers a ruptured appendix. She begs for help, but mother mistakes the red flashing for a tantrum, locks her up, and watches fireworks. Lily dies in agony after writing one final truth in her diary. Three days later, mother finds her dead daughter and realizes the cruel secret: the bracelet reacts to fear and pain, not lies. Ruby's bracelet was a worthless toy. When mother puts on the blood-stained bracelet, the shocks expose her own lies. Consumed by guilt, she descends into madness and attacks Ruby, who is then hit by a truck and left paralyzed. The father loses everything and dies in despair. In the end, mother dies clutching Lily's diary as Lily's spirit escapes the nightmare into eternal peace—no pain, no lies, only freedom.
