Ep 1 – Ep 57

Synopsis

This urban emotional drama explores class disparity and cruel love. Charlotte, a poor but kind girl, rescues the "down-and-out" Jonathan on the street and sells her kidney to pay his "life-saving" $300,000 surgery fee. Unbeknownst to her, it's all a bet: Jonathan, the heir to New York's richest family, fakes his illness and poverty to test her sincerity. When Charlotte discovers the truth at his engagement party, she realizes she's been treated as a "plaything," even humiliated by his fiancée until her remaining kidney fails. Jonathan repents after witnessing her sacrifice and tries to atone by donating his kidney, but dies during surgery from massive bleeding. Charlotte survives with his kidney, but loses the man she gave everything for. With intense conflicts, the story reveals the absurdity of humanity behind wealth and ponders the weight of true love and redemption.
