Synopsis

Dark Emperor is a cyber corporate thriller. Genius programmer Scarlett spent five years developing a core algorithm, only to have it stolen by her ex Ian and his fiancée Vivian, who built a listed tech company and erased all her credit. Vowing to get justice, she crosses paths with Howard Blackwell, heir to a huge business empire. Howard has long tracked Scarlett’s unique coding style, which once rescued his group from disastrous cyberattacks. He strikes a deal: a nominal temporary marriage. He will offer full financial, legal and corporate support for her revenge; in exchange, Scarlett helps him fend off arranged marriages and beat his scheming cousin Dominic, who covets the family fortune. Scarlett moves into the rigid Blackwell manor, facing constant hostility from traditional matriarch Eleanor, who gives her a three-month probation. Hidden behind a gentle facade, Dominic plants bugs, spreads slander and manipulates Ian to sabotage the pair repeatedly. With outstanding tech skills, Scarlett smashes all traps: she cripples Ian’s servers, debunks fabricated affair footage and defuses stock crises caused by leaked marriage contracts. The transactional partnership gradually turns into sincere love amid constant dangers. The climax hits when Dominic and Ian launch destructive malware to crash Blackwell’s banking system.
