Synopsis

Ellie possesses a heavenly voice, but after donating bone marrow to save her boyfriend's life, she gains weight due to hormonal changes and is shut out of the spotlight. Desperate to pursue her dream of becoming a singer and pay for her mother's medical treatment, Ellie is persuaded by her best friend and boyfriend to become her best friend's secret singing voice, performing behind the scenes while someone else takes the credit. But on the night her mother becomes critically ill, Ellie discovers that her boyfriend has betrayed her and that everything has been an elaborate deception. In one devastating night, she loses her voice, her dreams, and her mother. Three months later, Ellie makes a stunning comeback, having shed the weight and transformed herself. With a single breathtaking performance, she takes the music world by storm and rises to become its newest singing sensation. This time, Ellie claims the spotlight that was always rightfully hers—and makes those who betrayed her pay the price.
