Synopsis
High school senior Grace has always put her boyfriend Ethan and adopted sister Chloe first, only to watch them gradually take over her prom, her apartment, and her future. When Ethan repeatedly lets Chloe replace her without objection, Grace doesn't argue—she quietly returns his ring and key and leaves town alone. Six years later, Grace returns independent and confident. She has traveled to Alaska, Montana, and Florida, fulfilling every dream she once waited for Ethan to share. Ethan finally realizes what he lost and rushes to apologize, only to find that Grace no longer needs his choice. After an honest conversation, Grace walks away. As Ethan drives off alone, he suffers a severe car accident—just after vowing to "actually live," fate denies him the chance to keep that promise.
