Synopsis

Elena Davis and her husband Jason Miller share a daughter, Penny. Elena faces constant extortion from her brother Tommy Davis and her mother Karen Davis, who favors boys over girls and abuses Grandma. To make things worse, Jason cheats with his mistress Samantha Reed and demands a divorce. But Elena finds an unlikely ally in her mother-in-law, the powerful businesswoman Eleanor Miller, who treats her like her own. Samantha soon fakes a pregnancy, steals confidential files, and even attempts to murder Eleanor by triggering an asthma attack with Aspirin. Elena swiftly exposes the deadly scheme, landing Samantha in jail. In the end, Elena divorces Jason, becomes besties with Eleanor, and starts a beautiful new life with Penny and Grandma.
