After Snatching the Senior Therapist, the Biased Mother Went Crazy With Regret

Synopsis

Claire, a rising star architect, takes the blame for her younger sister Scarlett’s hit-and-run accident half a year ago. She is left with a permanent criminal record and a chronic knee injury, missing her promotion to firm partner. Her biased mother Margaret seizes all her $300,000 inheritance for Scarlett’s wedding and even demands Claire hand over her private rehabilitation coach for Scarlett’s pre-wedding shaping. Disheartened, Claire cuts off family financial support. Faced with her family’s coercion, slander and debt traps, she collects full evidence with her lawyer Ethan and father Thomas. Exposing everything at Scarlett’s engagement banquet, she ruins their reputation, clears her criminal record, wins a landmark project, and breaks free from her toxic family for a brand-new life.
