Synopsis
Jason and Sharon leave their daughter, Claire Cole, in the care of Jason’s mother, Eleanor Lawson, while sending money every month. But Eleanor abuses Claire and openly favors her grandson, Aiden. Claire grows up enduring hunger and beatings, and eventually dies from a high fever after being denied treatment. To cover up the truth and keep the money coming, Eleanor spins lie after lie. When Jason and Sharon return, they uncover Eleanor’s abuse and neglect. Despite desperate denials from Eleanor and Jason’s brother, Paul Cole, they go to the police and expose them both. In the end, Eleanor and Paul face the consequences of the law.
