Synopsis

After her husband Chen Jun dies in a construction accident, the pregnant Wang Xiulian tragically loses her daughter Wenqi. Fifteen years later, she supports her son Wang Wenjie to marry into the Chen family while hiding her own terminal pneumoconiosis. Rejected by her son, she opens a baozi stall and crosses paths with Wenqi, who is now Lin Che, the CEO of the Lin Group. Wang Wenjie manipulates her into selling her house to cover his debts and tricks her into working as a humiliated maid at the Chen house, where she notices the father-in-law looks exactly like Chen Jun. Lin Che uncovers the truth and seeks a reunion. At Lele's birthday party, Zhang Meilan humiliates Xiulian, prompting Lin Che to tear up a multi-billion dollar contract to protect her mother. Ultimately, the truth is revealed: Chen Jun had amnesia, and Zhang Meilan's scheme is exposed. As Xiulian falls critically ill, Wenjie repents, and Xiulian forgives them all.
