Synopsis

Lin Ran, having left the world of traditional Chinese medicine after his wife's death, remained true to his promise to her, working as a cleaner at a clinic and raising his daughter, Lin Qiangwei. Qiangwei admired traditional Chinese medicine and dreamed of promoting it. Twenty years later, Qiangwei became an outstanding apprentice, but a treatment accident led to a conflict with Lin Ran. Lin Ran's post-traumatic stress disorder prevented him from practicing, causing Qiangwei to misunderstand him. The vice president pressured Lin Ran to treat Qiangwei, who succeeded under his guidance. The vice president offered Qiangwei a spot in a selection competition, which Lin Ran objected to, but Qiangwei insisted on participating. During the selection, Qiangwei won but was ridiculed, and Lin Ran's true identity was exposed. Zhao Guming demanded treatment from Lin Ran but was refused; Qiangwei's illness relapsed, and Lin Ran cured her. Lin Ran discovered the truth behind his wife's death, challenged Western medicine, and Zhao Guming was defeated and killed. Lin Ran made a comeback, winning a conference on the exchange of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, emphasizing the complementary nature of both.
