Synopsis

A biased mother, Wang Shufen, dotes on her second son, Zhiping, and his wife, Xinxin, while despising her eldest daughter-in-law, Huijun, for giving birth to a daughter. She repeatedly steals from her eldest son's family to support the second, even abandoning Huijun during childbirth to care for her second daughter-in-law. When the ancestral home is demolished, she secretly sells it and gives the entire 2.5 million yuan payout to her second son for a school district home, leaving the eldest son's family with nothing. After years of Huijun enduring this injustice in silence, her husband, Zhiming, finally wakes up to reality and refuses to let his mother live with them anymore.
